Dedicated to all the men named on the War Memorials in the Parish of Northop and to the memory of a remarkable headteacher, Mr J R Richardson who was determined that we, who came after, would never forget.
Exciting Announcement
We have so enjoyed researching and publishing our findings about the Memorials in Northophall, Sychdyn and Northop and we will continue to add to this site as new information comes to us. We know it is popular and we are now getting about 3000 hits each month. Encouraged by this success, we have decided to widen our brief. We have set ourselves the task of making a Virtual First World War Memorial for the whole of Flintshire and have started with the Memorial in Mold.
The task is a huge one but if we get as much help from the communities as we have had with www.northopwm.com then it will be achievable. Please have a look at our early efforts and let us know what you think. We very much want to hear from any individuals or groups that have already researched their own memorial in Flintshire. We would be very interested in publishing their findings - which would be accredited to them of course.
