Biographical Details Known
Lennox's mother was Emma Petch before she married. She was one of the daughters of a gamekeeper and his wife who had originated in Suffolk. This family moved to Cilcain (1871 census). Emma's father died in 1879 and on the 1881 census the widowed mother was living in the Top Lodge of Soughton Hall where she was described as a 'Lodge Keeper and Domestic Servant'. Living with her were two of her daughters, Emma and Roseanne. Emma married Edward Jones of Sychdyn in 1888.

Lennox was born in 1894 and in 1901 the census records that 7 year old Lennox lived with his father Edward (a Coal miner/fireman) his mother Emma, his three sisters, Edith 11, Ethel 8, Rosalyn Enid 2 and one brother, Emlyn Horace . They lived in the house called Bro Dawel which is on the main road (on your left when heading for Mold).

Presumably Lennox moved to Yorkshire before the war, which explains why he joined a Yorkshire regiment. His certificate from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission includes the following personal details -
'Native of Soughton Flints, Son of Edward and Emma Jones of Cliff House, Micklefield, Leeds'
He was a member of the congregation of Bryn Seion Chapel and is listed on the memorial inside the chapel.

Although he appears on the War Memorial in Sychdyn, his details are not recorded in the Flintshire Roll of Honour card index - possibly because he no longer lived in the county.
Lennox is also commemorated on a family grave in Northop Churchyard as follows
