Remembrance Day in Northop Parish.

The day began in the village of Northop with a parade led by Northop Silver Band, followed by members of the British Legion carrying their Standards. Behind them were Scouts and Guides and others from the Parish. It began at 'TheBoot Inn' then continued along the High Street and on to the Parish Church where the Act of Remembrance took place at the Memorial inside the church.

After the service in the parish Church at Northop there followed a wreath laying ceremony at Northop Hall's Memorial. Village resident and British Legion Member Jack Hayes placed the wreath on behalf of the Legion. Other wreaths were placed by villagers.

After Northop Hall, British Legion Members drove to Sychdyn where there was a wreath laying Ceremony at the War Memorial there. The rain which had been horrendous at Northop |Hall was by now torrential

British Legion members invited Sychdyn resident and serving soldier from the Queen's Dragoon Guards to place the wreath. Other wreaths were placed by members of the community.
